We are seeking a Centre Director for our outside school hour operations at Yarralumla Primary School, A.C.T. including Before and After School, and Vacation care. This will be a permanent full-time (38 hours per week) position for a person keen on a career in leadership in children’s education and care.

The person destined for this leadership role in our original centre will be looking to extend themselves whilst exercising hard won capacities for management, supervision, guidance and organisation.
Annual remuneration package:
starting at $70,000 during initial 3 month trial
progressing to $80,000 for the duration of the first year
stepping up to $85,000 at the commencement of the second year with further progression up to $100,000 dependant on service expansion
The Centre Director will be well supported by Executive Directors and a Business Manager, and will work closely with our Educational Leaders. They will oversee a committed and growing workforce of 19 staff and an operation expanding its service provision during 2020.
An Aeon Academy Centre Director is encouraged to run their centre with a high degree of autonomy within the context of the centres history and culture.

Qualification and experience
Completed Diploma in Children’s Services, Bachelor of Teaching/Education or equivalent qualification/s
Demonstrated capability for running a successful child care centre
Familiarity with CCSS administration (pref. HubWorks)
Computing and Internet competency (incl. Google cloud platform)
Sound working knowledge of the National Quality Framework,My Time, Our PlaceFramework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations
Current First Aid and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates
Current Working with Children Police check
High energy and physical capability
Roles and Responsibilities
As a member of the Executive Management Committee, the Centre Director is also expected to:
Represent the Centre as appropriate at Aeon Academy and community events
Participate fully in leadership team activities, meetings and professional development
Take a high-profile leading role in setting a positive tone amongst students, staff and parents
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, staff and families
Support the centre’s aims and objectives
Recruit, organise and supervise the staff.
Ensure that the Centre complies with government requirements.
